WELCOME
TO THE 2009 SEASON OF THE ST. JOSEPH MUNICIPAL BAND
The
2010 season of the St. Joseph Municipal Band begins with its normal double
concerts, at 3:30 and 7:30 p.m., Sunday,
June 27. The band looks forward to providing hour long concerts each Sunday from
June 27, through August 30, and also including 3:30 and 7:30 concerts on July 4
(Independence Day) and its final concerts of the season, September 6 (Labor
Day).

- June 27, 2010
THE JUNE 27, 2010, OPENING CONCERTS OF THE ST.
JOSEPH MUNICIPAL BAND SEASON. "We are excited and ready to
begin the summer with the 2010 St. Joseph Municipal Band," says
director Dr. Donald Moely. He continued "The band is eager to share
it’s music entertainment with the loyal audiences from St. Joseph and many
visitors from all over the world."
The band’s normal summer series of concerts starts as
usual, the last Sunday of June, (June 27, 2010) with the 3:30 and 7:30 p.m.
hour long concerts. The first concerts of the summer season each year also
includes a ‘late night’ additional ‘Big Band’ concert from
9:00 to 10:00 p.m.
- July 4, 2010
Joseph
Municipal Band continues the 2010 season summer concerts with its normal set
of double concerts on Sunday, July 4th, at
the regular 3:30 and 7:30 p.m. times at the
John E. N. Howard Band Shell in downtown St. Joseph overlooked Lake Michigan
The July 4 concerts are traditional in that they
will feature all patriotic music and will again honor the veterans of all
our services that have helped keep our freedom for the United States of
America. Featured vocal soloists in the concert will include Jessica
Lovely and Shawn Edwards both of South
Bend.

The St. Joseph Municipal Band will, highlight the principal oboe player Kaethe Durham in a solo and features the
Citadel Dancers
- July 18, 2010
Guest Vocal Soloist Sara Emerson
- July 25, 2010
Concert will feature a guest conductor Jerry
Lackey on the program and will highlight Carol
Stelter and Dr.
Dave Ratajik of the band doing solos and an original
composition for band by Jerry Lackey.
- Aug. 1, 2010
The
August 1st concerts, the 6th
o f 12 double concerts scheduled for the season, will feature the French
horn section leader, Stace Detgen guest conducting two numbers with
the band. Also Stacie Detgen will perform a French Horn Solo with the band.
Brinden Brown returns as guest vocalist in the concerts.

Featuring Woodwind Quintet "Quintete A Vin" and
vocalist Anna DeWitt.

Band features Vocalist Abbey Clark and Chicago
Trumpeter, William Camp
- Aug. 22, 2010
Guest
vocalist Patrick Ross. Craig Heitger, principal trumpet will also will guest
conduct.
- Aug. 29, 2010
Band Concert features a Guest conductor, a
vocal soloist, The Light House Chorus, the saxophone section, and a Dixieland
combo.
- Sept 5, 2010
Municipal Band Features Michelle Bythrow as guest
vocalist, the St. Joseph Pom Squad and a guest Director conducting two
numbers
- Sept 6, 2010 Labor Day
Band features Trombone Solo, College fight song collage and guest vocalist
is Carrie Vandenburg.
Director Dr. Moely wishes to thank everyone for making the season a
success and wishing everyone well until the next concert season begins on
June 26, 2011.
