Guest Performers CONGRATULATIONS TO DIXIE DETGEN
FOR WITH TODAY’S CONCERT SHE HAS COMPLETED HER FIFTIETH YEAR PERFORMING WITH
THE ST JOSEPH MUNICIPAL BAND. STACIE DETGEN is in her 19th year of teaching instrumental music education and her 14h year at Charlotte Middle School. She is a native of Buchanan, MI. Stacie is a graduate of Michigan State University and has a Master of Music Education degree from VanderCook College of Music in Chicago. This is her 27h year of membership with the St. Joseph Municipal Band. KRISTIE DETGEN is a graduate of Buchanan High School, Lake Michigan College and Davenport University in Grand Rapids, receiving a Bachelor of Business Administration . She is an eight year veteran of the United States Army, assigned as a French horn player at Ft. Gordon, GA and Ft. Lee, VA. Currently she teaches private French horn students and has been a member of the St. Joseph Municipal Band for 15 years GARY A. COOPER Lake Michigan College, Indiana University of South Bend and the American Conservatory of Music in Chicago. Cooper has played with the Michigan Opera Orchestra as well as the South Bend, Kalamazoo and Chicago Civic Symphonies and sang in the Chicago Symphony Chorus. He has performed as a soloist with Southwestern Michigan Symphony, Elkhart Symphonies as well as the St Joseph Municipal Band and sings in a chamber vocal group called Opus Nine. Cooper is Artist in Residence in the St. Joseph Public Schools. He also teaches at the Arts Center for the Salvation Army and teaches private lessons. Cooper is an active clinician and soloist in the Midwest region. THE LAKESHORE LANCERETTES are coached by Pam Hoover. The captains of this years squad are Janet Caswell and Megan Dwyer. The girls took 1st place on all of their nightly ratings at camp, 1st place for their Short Program, 3rd place on their Open Routine, and 1st place in their division overall. The Senior Kickline routine which included Janet Caswell, Megan Dwyer, Alexis Finch, Sarah Mabry, Carolyn Pampalone, and Kayla Rantz earned a 1st place ribbon. Carolyn Pampalone earned the honor of All Star at camp. The Lancerettes choreograph all of the routines themselves |
